At this time, UPS shipments for Upgraded devices cannot be rerouted or redirected to Access Points or alternate addresses, even if you're unavailable during the delivery window. This restriction is due to our shipping agreement with our warehouse and carrier partners.
What happens if I miss the delivery?
UPS typically attempts up to three delivery attempts. If all three are unsuccessful, the package will not be held at a local UPS location for pickup. Instead:
The device will be returned to our warehouse.
Once it arrives back at the warehouse, we must manually notify our vendor to re-ship the device. Unfortunately, this process is not automatic, even though we agree that it should be! As a result, this adds extra time and effort to your delivery.
What if I’m traveling or won’t be home?
If you anticipate being unavailable during the delivery window:
Let us know immediately at [email protected]. In some cases, we may be able to delay the shipment or coordinate alternatives before the device ships.
If the item is already in transit, we recommend tracking your UPS shipment closely and being present for one of the delivery attempts to avoid delays.
